The Testaments - Margaret Atwood
In the land of Gilead, fifteen years after Offred steps out of the van at the end of The Handmaid’s Tale, three women from Gilead give their testaments. What has happened to them and the world? What has become of Offred? Revolution? Apocalypse? Regression?
Honestly, I have no clue, because the book isn’t being published until Sept. 10th, 2019!
Here’s what I do know:

Atwood is brilliantly, diabolically creative and insanely smart.

Truth is stranger than fiction.

Atwood’s fiction is prophetic.

We as contemporary Canadian readers, must read and discuss this book a.s.a.p.!
And, so, as a scholar of Canadian literature and a fan of dystopian literature, I am taking a leap of faith and choosing it, sight-unseen. I hope you’ll join me for the ride.
